Canada to introduce Targeted Employment Strategy for Newcomers
The Canadian Immigration Minister, Ahmed Hussen announced that the Federal Government of Canada will soon introduce a new strategy for newcomers- The Targeted Employment Strategy. He said “Attracting the best and brightest from around the world benefits all Canadians and is one of the Government of Canada’s top priorities. I am proud that our government is supporting newcomers and helping them overcome the barriers that limit their employment opportunities in Canada.”
This initiative will come as a part of the Budget 2017 and with an aim to help skilled workers with bright employment opportunities in Canada. It has been observed that the newcomers of Canada often face challenges in getting their credentials assessed and recognized, which eventually result in employment hindrance.
